Alright, how do I say this?
There are thousands of people all around us that could be doing cool side projects but have no way of finding others to do them with.
Cool potential projects are not being done. I won't take it any longer. Don't take it
What is a SideProject?
Whatever you do on the side! I made a digital course for example. I'm trying to sell it online. That was hard! I learned so much. Other developers create small games just for the fun of it. Others knit, and sell the knitwear. Awesome!
You are the ultimate person in my eyes if you have an active project or want to start one right now. I don't care what it is. working on something of your own is just so powerful and awesome. That's elite stuff. we NEED you. We salute you. You are the greatest natural resource we have. I don't care about what you know. I care that you want to do stuff now. It would be an honor to know you.
Some of us are pretty intense people, we run through the excel doc looking for relevant people without asking for permission, and contact them. We post in "general" saying "im looking to do this", or "im open for whatever". We move fast! And we stay this engaged over months. It would be an honor to know you. Some of us are a bit more calm. That's fine as well!
Some of us are lurkers! We haven't seen the SideProject light yet, we are just staying in the background checking out the action others make happen. That's fine as well! Campers! Rats! Be a proud rat! Right now might not be the right time to do a SideProject, believe me, we know this! Thought life we get new jobs, that sometimes takes 100% attention! We have babies! Crazy times! We get into paddleball. Drama happens. For everyone except the utmost elites, SideProjects slumber here. Don't fight it, don't feel bad. We love it.
But right now IS the right time to join the community! Lurk, camp, and be inspired. Some of you will become like us. A 19 year old camper might shed his shell and become a 21 year old SideProject HustleMaster. That would mean a lot to me. Slices of life will appear where SideProjects can flourish. Be ready and join today.
